The Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies gives students the skills and foundation necessary to become successful business managers able to face the challenges of an ever-changing international business environment. Business students bring a wealth of international perspectives to the study programme and gain valuable insight into the world of international business, which is difficult to find elsewhere.
The curriculum gives students a combination of theoretical and practical skills, including an understanding of business and specific fields of business including management and organisation, entrepreneurship and innovation, human resources, accounting, finance, operations and marketing. They will comprehend how organisations are structured and managed, as well as how they function within the larger economic, social, legal and political context. In their last semester, students bring together what they have learnt, either in the analysis of case studies of business behaviour or in the development of a business plan for a small enterprise.
Minors
Students also have the possibility to choose a Minor, fields of specialisation within the three majors. Students can choose a minor in each of the three majors, regardless of their major. To successfully complete a minor, students are required to pass at least four courses within their chosen minor, i.e. at least 24 ECTS credits.
Minors are optional: students may choose to graduate without one, selecting their major electives freely from the list given above. The available minors in business and economics are: Accounting and Finance / Economics / International Management / Marketing and Advertising

Vesalius College processes applications on a rolling basis. Admissions decisions are usually made within three weeks after the complete application is received. Students are encouraged to apply during their final year.
Applications will be considered so long as places remain in the class to which they are applying for admission.
Applicants for admission must have graduated from a secondary school prior to beginning their studies at Vesalius College. Admission decisions take into account the candidate’s secondary school performance, examination results and English language competence, as well as demonstrated personal qualities and character.
