Digital Arts and Entertainment (E) : Game Development - Professionele bachelor
DAE is a programme designed by and developed for creative, ambitious, passionate and exceptional individuals, ready to push the limits of tomorrow’s interactive or pre-rendered 3D.
For whom?
Do you need prior knowledge before starting DAE?
This depens on the major. For game-related majors, experience with gaming and fascination for it's underlying technology and art is important. For the major 3D Animation or Visual Effects you'll need a certain interest in 3D animation and the VFX in films.
Want to be well prepared? Learn to work with Photoshop, Maya or Blender (a free alternative) and Visual Studio (for games) before you start the programme.
A weekly 3 hours of math during your secondary education should be sufficient. The math courses start off relying on your own competence regarding basic arithmetic, polynomial algebra, equation solving and trigonometric fundamentals. Have you received less than 3 hours of weekly math courses? Do you doubt wheter you're properly equipped for the programme? Maybe a summer course can help. Contact the institution for more info.
